Congratulations on your purchasing this USB multimedia keyboard. The Internet hot keys bring you Internet/E-mail functions at a keystroke, and a Power key with power off, sleep, and wake up functions to help you conserve power.
To use the extra buttons, you have to install KeyMaestro Input Device driver first.
In order for the USB multimedia keyboard to function properly, first install the USB drivers and then install the KeyMaestro multimedia driver.
Note: If all of the buttons on the keyboard work except the multimedia buttons, the keyboard is recognized by the system and you only need to install the multimedia driver.
The USB device driver is included in Windows system.
When the first time you plug in the USB keyboard, the system will automatically detect a new hardware connected and bring up the Add New Hardware Wizard. Follow the Wizard's USB driver installation steps. Once this step is completed the basic functions of the keyboard will work under the operating system.
Before installing the KeyMaestro Multimedia Keyboard Driver, you have to make sure that the USB device driver has been installed and the USB keyboard is recognized by Windows operating system. You may toggle the NumLock or CapsLock key to see if the LED is lit correspondently, and thus to know the keyboard works well.
Then you may refer to the following steps to install the multimedia keyboard driver.
- Insert the disk labeled 'KeyMaestro Input Device Driver' into your disk drive.
- Open File Explorer to find 'SetupKey.exe' from the disk.
- Double-click the 'SetupKey.exe'.
- Then follow the screen instruction to install the driver. The default install path is set to c:\Program files\KMaestro. You have the option to change the install path during setup.
- Setup will indicate when it has successfully completed. The driver is loaded when you see the driver icon
in the system tray (lower right corner of the screen). The operating system does not need to restart.
Please note that you have to uninstall the driver first if you want to re-install the driver. This uninstallation only can remove the KeyMaestro multimedia keyboard driver from your system, not removing USB device driver and other hardware drivers.
