Prolly leafs stuck in your heating steysm somewhere. Just a guess. You're recorder sounds as good as the other one. John, if you want to get the Sci-fi channel in HD you should subscribe to DirecTV. I'm so jealous of you and the snow. So since you already opened the BIG present wonder what Santa will bring you on Christmas eve night? And so . . . what did you get Bruce? Santa flies right over my house now that I'm an old codger who doesn't believe in him anyway. You be good John and you'll prolly end up with something nice come Christmas day! Happy holiday boi

I would have to say that is easier than intaslling a new head unit. Go to Radio Shack and get some female wire tap-ins and their male counterparts. Tap into the rear's left and right speakers and connect to a line-level converter. Connect the RCA from the converter to your amp. For power, you will need to heavy guage wire to connect from the battery to the amp. Don't forget to place in inline fuse. The hardest part is connecting your remote turn-on. If you have a power antenna, then you can tap into that. Otherwise, you'd need to remove the head unit and tap into the remote power turn-on wire. To find this wire, search online for schematics of your car, or get a power tester at Radio Shack (i forgot exactly what its called, but its a device that you tap into the wire and if it lights up, then there is power). Test it be tapping into into the wire, turn the key on your car to power up, and if it lights up, then thats your remote power wire. Connect that wire to your amp's remote. If that's too much work, you can always run a wire from your battery to your amp's remote and use a switch in between. However, you have to remember to turn it off everytime so it won't drain your battery.25 year electronics technician, audio guru
