SNTP stands for "Simple Network Time Protocol" - simplified version of NTP - a standard protocol used to synchronize system clocks on routers and computer systems throughout the Internet.
This implementation can be installed as a service on Windows NT/2000 and, once configured, will keep your computers clock correct up to fraction of a second. For Windows 95/98/Me console and windows versions are currently available - you have to run either one every time you want to synchronize your computer's clock.
SNTP server
Server version is supposed to be installed as Windows NT/2000/XP service. You need to specify SNTP server's IP address, minimum and maximum threshold (the service will not update system time if it receives mailformed SNTP packet) and update frequency.
The service will be constantly (at specified intervals) updating the system's clock, and can be used as a master time source for other systems on your network.

SNTP client
Using console version of the SNTP client is very easy: it takes just two parameters. First parameter is host name or ip address of time server (list of stratum 2 time servers can be found here) to query. Second parameter is the word "set". If you skip it, SNTP will just show you current time (in UTC) on the server, otherwise, it will update your system's time as well.
