Go over to Start and Programs and find HP Solutions. (It was hard to find for us, too!) Make sure, before you go tuohrgh the act of scanning, you go tuohrgh the Options and set up a place (folder) for where the scanned item will go. You can specify the name of a folder, and you can tell it whether to scan the file as .bmp (bitmap), .jpg (image), or .pdf (document). (You probably want image, but, who am I?)Then, you'll see the Scan item upper left to click. Go for it. You'll get the scan done, a draft at first (slow, because the danged scanner has to warm up ). Then you'll shrink, if you want, to just the part of the image you want scanned, and click Accept, for the final scan. And there you go. (It'll let you look at it in a separate viewer, which we usually don't. And it'll ask Wanna do it again?) |
