My husband has a Toshiba Protege and I have a Sony Vaio and I would say nethier is shockproof, though both are very good. My Sony (VAIO S series) is much smaller and lighter than his Toshiba, so I suspect the Toshiba might be sturdier, but not necessarily. The Toshiba was highly recommended when he bought it. I would say the Vaio is a little glitchy sometimes on the Internet, but it could be because we have wireless Internet. Toshiba seems to provide excellent on-line service and info, while Sony's is a little more difficult to access. With the Sony we had to replace the power supply (under warranty) within a month of buying it.I know this doesn't answer your question about shock proof but it might help you decide. I really don't think either is shockproof. You provbably have to go really high grade to get shockproof. |
